Clergy Association and Clergy Empowerment in Ghana And The Diaspora

The Ghana Chamber Of Clergy (GCC) begun and was registered in the name National Chamber Of Clergy And Associates (NCCa). This is an association of ordained and consecrated clergymen and women across the world. The council was founded by His Eminence, Seer and Prophet, Apostle Dr. Richard K.A. Owiredu by the leading of the Holy Spirit in the year 2014. The Council is legally registered and incorporated as an NGO limited by guarantee with registration number.

The purpose of the council is to serve as a regulatory body for ministers who come under its umbrella as well as serve as a support system to empower the minister of God. It’s worth mentioning that this prestigious council is nationally and internationally recognized as a credible association of clergy by all standards.

In this regard, the GCC (NCCa) Licenses its members in order to have legal documentation and receive the backing of the state.

As a council of Clergy, it is our passion and focus to send out missionaries, embark on evangelistic campaigns, Prison Ministry, Hospital Ministry/Visitations to fulfill the great commission according to Matthew 28:16-20.

As a non-governmental organization, it is also our focus to give to the society by embarking on relief projects to deprived societies, giving donations to the less privileged in the society etc.

The GCC (NCCa) has its members as a core priority, as we seek the physical, spiritual, emotional and psychological wellbeing of our members.

The council organizes seminars, workshops, conferences and other programs to equip its members to be effective in their ministry.

WHO CAN JOIN THE COUNCIL

The Council Membership is open to all ordained clergy worldwide irrespective of race, color, denomination, gender, educational background or financial background. However, the applicant must be a minister in good standing, with no questionable background.

HOW TO JOIN THE COUNCIL

  • Pay the required fees for the Membership Forms (Form C), fill it completely and submit. Your application will be reviewed for approval.
  • Another way by which you can become a member of the council is by nomination and seconding by already existing members however after your nomination you will still be required to fill the Membership Form (Form C).

The GCC (NCCa) is nationally and internationally recognized as a credible and reputable association of clergy, meeting all acceptable professional and ethical standards.

As a Council of Clergy, our passion and mandate are rooted in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16–20). We are committed to:

In addition, as a non-governmental organization, the Council is dedicated to social responsibility and community development. We actively engage in:

To regulate, license, and empower ordained and consecrated ministers of God through spiritual covering, legal recognition, capacity building, and strategic support, while advancing the Great Commission through missions, evangelism, humanitarian service, and community transformation.

REGISTRATION AND ACCREDITATION NARRATIVE

The Ghana Chamber of Clergy (GCC), legally registered as the National Chamber of Clergy and Associates (NCCa), is a duly constituted faith-based organization established to provide oversight, accreditation, and institutional support for ordained and consecrated clergymen and women.

The Council was founded in the year 2014 by His Eminence, Seer and Prophet, Apostle Dr. Richard K. A. Owiredu, under divine inspiration and in response to the growing need for a structured, accountable, and legally recognized body to regulate ministerial practice and promote ethical standards within the Christian clergy.

The GCC (NCCa) is legally registered and incorporated as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), limited by guarantee, in accordance with the laws governing non-profit and charitable institutions. The Council operates as a non-political, non-profit, and non-sectarian body, committed to spiritual integrity, accountability, and national development.

In fulfillment of its mandate, the GCC (NCCa) serves as a regulatory and accreditation authority for ministers under its jurisdiction. The Council licenses, accredits, and recognizes its members, providing them with official ministerial documentation, professional identification, and institutional backing that affirms their legitimacy and compliance with acceptable ministerial and organizational standards.

Accreditation by the GCC (NCCa) signifies that a member has met the Council’s requirements relating to ordination status, ministerial conduct, doctrinal soundness, ethical integrity, and ongoing ministerial development. Licensed members are entitled to operate under the covering, endorsement, and representation of the Council, subject to adherence to its constitution, code of ethics, and operational guidelines.

The GCC (NCCa) is nationally and internationally recognized as a credible association of clergy and maintains collaborative relationships with churches, ministries, faith-based institutions, and relevant stakeholders. The Council also provides platforms for capacity building, welfare support, dispute resolution, and ministerial accountability among its members.
